Pierre was a Haitian 20-year-old honors student, ROTC cadet, & avid soccer player pursuing neuroscience. On August 31st 2026, Pierre took his own life by jumping in front of a truck on the highway after his college scholarships and freedom were stripped away. He was then forced to wear an ankle monitor, portraying him as a criminal. This was because his TPS status was terminated.

More than 350,000 Haitians are facing deportation after the Supreme Court ruled with the Trump Administration to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which is a legal status they have had for over a decade.

Community Services
At the Haitian Bridge Alliance Community Center in San Diego, California, we regularly host donation drives and community events that provide immigrant families with English language classes, clothing, diapers, health services, music and cultural programming, and other essential resources.
Just across the border in Tijuana, Mexico, our team regularly visits migrant shelters to deliver food, clothing, hygiene products, and other critical supplies to people seeking safety.
